Teriyaki Chicken

Ingredients for serving

  • 47.5 g Sauce, teriyaki, ready-to-serve 0.17 x cup (288g)
  • 56.5 g Chicken breast, low fat
  • 3 g Cornstarch
  • 41 g Orange juice, chilled, includes .. 0.17 x cup (249g)
  • 3.5 g Oil, olive, salad or cooking 0.25 x tablespoon (13.5g)
  • 0 g Spices, ginger, ground 0.17 x tsp (1.8g)
  • 49 g Rice, white, medium-grain, raw, .. 0.25 x cup (195g)
  • 112 g Nuts, chestnuts, japanese, .. 4 x oz (28.35g)
  • 33 g Broccoli, raw 0.75 x cup, chopped or diced (44g)

Instructions

  • Set aside chicken breasts (1 ¼”)
  • Take a mixing bowl and add into it the ingredients – orange juice, teriyaki sauce, ginger and cornstarch. Set it aside.
  • Take a large skillet. Spray some oil over it and heat. Then stir fry the chicken pieces until they turn golden brown
  • Transfer the chicken pieces into another bowl whilst leaving the drippings in the pan. Now reduce the heat.
  • Then stir fry the broccoli for a few minutes.
  • After stirring the teriyaki mixture, pour it into the skillet that contains broccoli.
  • Cook the above mixture for a few minutes until it has thickened considerably.
  • Serve hot with rice
