Instructions

  • Beat the eggs and sugar in a bowl until blended. Stir in 1 cup of milk.
  • Cook this mixture in a heavy bottom pan on low heat while stirring constantly. Do not boil the mixture, cook slowly until thick.
  • When the mixture is thick enough to coat a spoon with a thin film, remove from the heat.
  • Add remaining milk and vanilla, stir well. Pour through a sieve and refrigerate until chilled.
  • Serve chilled.
