Instructions

  • Boil the chickpeas in water until tender or use cooked chickpeas for the recipe.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook onion until translucent.
  • Add garlic, parsley, cumin, turmeric and tomato stir and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add Swiss chard, chickpeas and broth to the skillet. Bring to a boil and keep simmering for 15 minutes while stirring occasionally.
  • Add salt, lemon juice and zest, mix well and remove from the heat.
  • Serve hot.
