Instructions

  • Cut chicken horizontally in half. Then mix it with garam masala and yogurt. Keep the mixture aside for 2 minutes.
  • Spread some aluminum foil in a baking tray coat it with cooking spray. Place the chicken on it.
  • Sprinkle it with salt and cook 5 minutes on either side.
  • Place a skillet over medium flame. In the meantime, pulse tomatoes using a mini chopper to get a smooth mixture.
  • Add oil, garlic, red pepper, ginger and garam masala in a pan and cook for a minute. Now add tomatoes and simmer 4 minutes.
  • Add cream and salt and continue cooking for 1 minute.
  • Cut chicken into pieces and add toss them in a pan.
  • Place pitas on a baking sheet and bake both its sides for a minute.
  • Add ½ cup chicken over each pita and then top it with cheese and onion. Grill for close to 2 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with cilantro and serve immediately.
