  • Set the oven temperature to 250 degrees Fahrenheit / 125 degrees Celsius.
  • Piece the potatoes using a fork and bake them until they become tender. Cut them into half and keep it aside to cool.
  • While the potatoes are being baked, heat a little oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onions and saute for a few minutes.
  • Now add chicken broth, ½ cup milk and flour to pan and bring the mixture to a boil. Remove from heat. Add salt, pepper and sour cream.
  • Arrange bacon slices on a baking tray and bake them at the set temperature until the slices start to crumble.
  • Remove the potato skins. Mash the potatoes slightly and add into soup. Top it with bacon slices, green onions and cheese.
  • Serve hot.
