Instructions

  • Dry roast the spices – coriander seeds and mustard seed in a pan over medium heat, until fragrant. Remove from the heat and let it cool.
  • Add cooled spices, brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and cloves to a spice grinder and coarsely ground the spice mix.
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degree Fahrenheit and prepare a baking tray.
  • Transfer the spice mix in a big bowl, add black pepper and season the chicken breast in the spice mix thoroughly.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook seasoned chicken breast for 2-3 minutes from both sides, then transfer it to baking tray and bake for 10 minutes.
  • Flip the chicken and bake for another 5 minutes until brown from the other side as well.
  • Remove from the oven and let it stand for 5 minutes before slicing.
